ITS World Congress

1. The Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) field's largest conference, exhibition, and academic event is known colloquially as the "Transport Olympics."

   ITS(Intelligent Transport System)

   A system that applies advanced technologies such as transportation, electronics, communication, and control to collect, manage, and provide real-time traffic information. It aims to maximize the efficiency and convenience of transportation facilities, enhance safety, and reduce energy consumption

2. An international cooperative event for promoting ITS technologies of each country and regions, exchanging information, and fostering human exchanges, contributing to the development of ITS in worldwide and strengthening networking between the regions and Countries

3. Starting with 1st ITS Congress in Paris in 1994, it is held annually, rotating through Europe, the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific regions

4. Korea is planning to host the 32rd ITS World Congress in Gangneung in 2026, following the 5th ITS World Congress in Seoul in 1998 and the 17th  ITS World Congress in Busan in 2010
