Promoting the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress and Expanding Korea–India ITS Cooperation

A Korean delegation, led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) and organized by ITS Korea, participated in the ITS India Congress 2025 to promote the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress and strengthen cooperation with India’s rapidly growing ITS sector.
During the Congress, the delegation carried out a series of activities to introduce Korea’s advanced ITS technologies and encourage Indian participation in the upcoming Gangneung event.
Key activities included:

Opening Ceremony Presentation: Ms. Heo, Na-yoon, Director of Smart Road Team, delivering a presentation on the overview of the ITS World Congress and the city of Gangneung, highlighting Korea’s readiness to host the global ITS community.

Exhibition Visits and Promotion: Engaging with exhibiting companies to introduce the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress and explore potential collaboration opportunities.

Business Meetings: Meeting with Indian ITS companies to discuss participation options in the Gangneung Congress—such as exhibition booths and technical sessions—and addressing inquiries regarding collaboration opportunities.

Exhibition Booth Contract: Signing an agreement with the ITS India Association for exhibition booth participation at the Gangneung Congress, further solidifying the partnership between the two organizations.
Through these engagements, the Korean delegation strengthened mutual understanding and laid the groundwork for future joint initiatives between Korea and India in the ITS domain.
