Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) has drafted a special act on the safe use and commercialisation of mobile robots and presented it on 13 August at Pangyo Techno Valley near Seoul to some 40 robot companies, reportedly including Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor. The bill covers robots moving indoors and outdoors autonomously or under remote control for delivery, parking, EV charging, haulage, security and maintenance, and would overhaul Korean rules for buildings, apartment complexes, parking lots, outdoor spaces and construction sites.
