Hyundai Motor announced at its 2026 CEO Investor Day on 26 August that it will begin supplying Ioniq 5-based robotaxis to Waymo in the fourth quarter, produced at its Metaplant in Georgia, US. The company also outlined a "data flywheel" strategy to continuously improve its autonomous driving models, accelerating its push into the robotaxi business.
