Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC), Korea's state-run expressway operator, discussed cooperation with Bangladeshi and Turkish officials during the Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference (GICC) in Seoul on 15–17 September 2026, according to a 16 September report. With Bangladesh's road transport minister, KEC reviewed operations and maintenance of Padma Bridge and the N8 Expressway and discussed extending the contract, which expires in 2027. With Türkiye's General Directorate of Highways, it explored cooperation on the Izmir northeastern ring road investment project. The discussions followed KEC's existing road projects in both countries; neither a contract extension nor a new award was announced.
