Gangneung City and local police conducted a joint drill using ITS-based traffic signal control. The exercise demonstrated faster emergency response and smarter traffic management through integrated center control. The initiative reflects Gangneung’s ongoing commitment to safer mobility.

Gangneung Expands Autonomous Mobility
Starting in July, Gangneung will launch late-night autonomous transport services connecting major hubs and tourist destinations. The initiative further strengthens the city’s role as a leading smart mobility hub ahead of the 2026 ITS World Congress.
