Business Matching is a one-on-one meeting program connecting companies, organizations, and policymakers in the ITS sector. The program provides opportunities to find new business partners, explore collaboration, build global partnerships, and create tangible business outcomes.
The program will be held from October 19–23, 2026, at the Exhibition Hall (Gangneung Oval, 1F) during the 2026 Gangneung ITS World Congress. It is open to all registered Congress participants.

📢 International Expert Seminar on ITS Standardization
On 22 October, from 1:00–3:00 PM (KST) at Gangneung Convention Center, Room 303, join ITS experts from Korea, the U.S., Europe, and Japan for an international discussion on ITS standardization developments and the latest AV/CV industry trends, with Korean–English simultaneous interpretation provided.

Gangneung Showcases Smart City ITS
Gangneung will showcase how AI-powered ITS can address the mobility challenges of a mid-sized tourist city at the 2026 ITS World Congress. With smart intersections, pedestrian systems, autonomous mobility, and real-time traffic data, the city is demonstrating how ITS can improve mobility and safety beyond major metropolitan areas.

Straffic to Support K-MaaS at the Congress
Straffic is partnering with Gangneung City, Metropolitan Area Transport Commission, and Korea Expressway Corporation to introduce a K-MaaS mobility service during ITS World Congress. The service will allow international visitors to search, book, and pay for KTX, buses, and taxis through a single app.

▶️ Korea–EU ITS Joint R&D Webinar
ITS KOREA and ERTICO held a joint webinar on 2 September to explore opportunities for Korea–EU collaboration under Horizon Europe and the upcoming FP10. Bringing together 55 participants from 15 countries, the webinar focused on three key areas—Connected and Automated Mobility, carbon-neutral mobility, and AI & data-driven transport—and discussed opportunities for joint R&D, technology demonstration, and commercialization.

🤝 K-Partnership Meeting
ITS Korea met with the World Bank on 18 September to discuss future cooperation under the Korea Green Growth Trust Fund (KGGTF). The meeting focused on opportunities for ITS Korea to participate in KGGTF projects, with discussions covering urban transport modernization, rural connectivity, metro systems, and smart mobility. The two sides also explored ways to build ITS Korea’s international project track record and expand cooperation into larger-scale infrastructure projects. |
Hyundai Motor Advances Autonomous Driving
Hyundai Motor plans to commercialize IONIQ 5 robotaxis in the U.S. by the end of 2026, including vehicles supplied to Waymo. The company is also expanding AI-based data collection and global development to further advance autonomous driving technology.

Thailand and Czech Republic Delegates Explore Kakao Mobility
Kakao Mobility welcomed transport officials from Thailand and the Czech Republic to experience its autonomous driving services in Seoul, showcasing how autonomous driving is integrated with mobility platforms and real-world operations.

India’s Gabriel India is partnering with Korea’s HL Klemove to develop and manufacture autonomous driving and advanced automotive solutions in India, including LiDAR, ADAS, and electronic control systems.

Korean semiconductor security company Ranix has obtained NIST ESV certification for its hardware-based TRNG security IP. The technology has been applied to its next-generation automotive security chips and is being expanded into automotive, defense, IoT, and industrial applications.

Seoul Plans 500 Autonomous Buses by 2030
Seoul is accelerating the integration of autonomous buses into its public transport system, with a target of 500 vehicles by 2030. The city also plans to conduct a comprehensive survey of public transport accessibility and identify areas requiring improved connections and services.

Hwaseong Expands Autonomous Public Services
Hwaseong has begun testing 8 autonomous driving public services, including mobility support for vulnerable groups, autonomous buses, shared vehicles, and demand-responsive transit. The city will continue the urban-scale pilot through December 2027, gathering real-world user feedback to improve safety, mobility, and public services.
